Get to Know Steph!
Steph is a Chicago-native and the newest member of our Flex team. Her first experience with Pilates was years ago at Flex, and (what can we say?!) she was hooked from the start! Full-time she practices as a Psychotherapist and Sport Psychology Consultant, and in her free time you can find her strolling around town with her Wheaton pup, Captain, or up north boating at her lake house. Did you know she also designs jewelry?!
You can catch Steph teaching Thursday mornings at 8:00a and 9:30a!
What led you to becoming a Pilates instructor?
I love the strength it provides to my mind and body, and wanted to share that with others. I also aspire to incorporate Pilates with my Sport Psychology practice, NamaSport, in the future.
Describe your teaching style.
Challenging, energizing… and expect to hear some fun music!
What’s your favorite exercise on the reformer? And least favorite?
Scrambled eggs are both. It’s definitely a love/hate.
What’s your favorite non-pilates workout?
High-impact interval training and power yoga.
What’s your personal mantra?
Control your breath, control your thoughts.
What’s your favorite indulgent eats in the city?
San Soo Gab for Korean BBQ.
